Moray Sports Centre

Excuse the pun but the ball is most definitely rolling on the new 4-court indoor tennis facilities here, which are intended to offer the local community access to the sport all year round as well as increase awareness of tennis and get more people playing.  The Moray Sports Centre has a strong ethos that focuses on equality and inclusion.  With the new tennis facilities, they are striving to be the most affordable, accessible and inclusive sports centre in the surrounding area.

It may be a while before the courts are ready to be used but we have made significant progress already in just a month.  We’ve completed the groundworks and the site has been completely stripped, cut, filled and levelled, ready to lay the hardcore stone for the sub-base, install the drainage and foundation ring beam.

Years of work from everyone involved have gone into bringing this tennis centre to Moray so it’s very satisfying to see it all come together.

Swindon Town FC Community Foundation

The recent heavy, persistent rainfall followed by sub-zero temperatures and significant snowfall have certainly been a challenge but despite being soaked through, caked in mud and freezing cold, the team has persevered admirably on this project.

The concrete has been poured, drainage complete, damp proof membranes laid along with the final layer of stone, which has been rolled and compacted. Most excitingly, the first few loads of the glulam wood frame have arrived!

Welland Park Academy

It’s really starting to look like a sports hall now as the internal fit out has started included all wiring for the lighting.  The lean-to roof is on and the steel cladding is coming along very well.  Weather conditions have tried to hold us back here too but we are still on schedule

Air Domes

Just to be clear, we haven’t diversified into air dome structures but that doesn’t mean we’re not capable of carrying out some essential servicing and maintenance on them when an enquiry comes in.  Our skill set is fully adaptable!  We’ve been at Chippenham Sports Club recently repairing some damage to their old sports air dome, which is the size of two tennis courts.  Something a bit different to the norm but we completed the job quickly and, to the delight of the client, under budget!

We’re happy to pick up work like this and recently have finished cleaning and repainting a tennis court that is covered by an air dome each winter.  We’ve also installed concrete blocks and new drainage around the outside so it’s ready for the indoor season.  As we said, adaptable skills!!
